Structure Collapse with entrapement

nbspStation 391 and 399 where dispatched to the 500 block of Marne Highway for report of a brick wall collapse with 1 person trapped. Upon arrival Chief 3900 found 1 patient trapped under a fallen brick wall and requested additional rescue units from the county structural collapse task force. district 39 crews went into service with hydraulic spreader to lift the collapsed wall off of the patient while district 27 provided additional man power. The patient was transported by EMS 399 to a waiting medi-vac helicopter and transported to Cooper Hospital. A co-worker of the initial patient who was frantically helping with the rescue collapsed with chest pains and was transported as a cardiac emergency. Chief 3900 notified township building inspector who had the residence leave the home until further determination of its safety could be made.nbsp
