Hurricane Sandy

pDuring hurricane sandy members of the Hainesport Fire Company and Emergency Squad staffed the station for 48 hours to respond to any incidents that may have occurred. During this times members responded to a total of 18 calls of assistance ranging from trees and wires down to basement flooding. After the storms had past through our area local departments where requested to respond to the shore area due to the devastation of those areas. Tanker-pumper 3911 responded with a full crew for 24 hours to Bay Head NJ whos department was flooded with sand and water. During this time 3911 was housed at Point Pleasant Fire Company and responded with them as calls for assistance came in. At the same time Rescue 3919 responded to Pleasant PlainsToms River District 2 for a 12 hour shift to assist as needed.nbsp brp
