Electrical Fire

p0500 on November 4 station 391 was dispatched to the 2700 block of Creek road for a reported electrical fire. Upon further investigation using a thermal imaging camera crews found an outlet surge strip that was damaged during hurricane sandy and shorted out when power was restored to the residence. Crews removed the power strip and advised the home owner to contact an electrician to check electrical service. brp
